Guiding is an Association spread all over the world. It helps one to become smart, self-dependent and an individual, perfect citizen. A student when she joins or becomes a Guide is a recruit for 3-4 months and only after passing her tests she becomes a Guide. Once she becomes a Guide she has to go through 5 stages in order to complete her Rashtrapati Guide Award and then achieves the certificate from the President of India. In this activity they learn about knots of various kinds, first aid, wood � crafts signs with the help of which they can go on hike, cooking, mapping-, how to locate a place and direct others. They also have to prepare project books on Cooking, Hiker, Pioneer, Citizen, Sanitation Promoter, Ecologist, Camper, Nutrition, Educator, Ambulance, Homemaker, and Entertainment. Apart from these project works they enjoy by attending camps making new friends of other schools, going on Hike & Trekking, Rallies, inter school competitions, River Rafting & Para sailing, Jamborees etc. They also take part in the Republic Day & Independence Day march past. They help during the School�s Annual Prize Night, Parents Day & Annual Sports Day. Registration of group has to be done every year in the District, and then it is registered in the State. We register two groups i.e Bulbuls & Guides. |
